I am having a small issue on my Flash pinball machine. When I go to start a 1 player game, as soon as the ball goes into the shooter lane it will initiate player number 2....This happens about 70% of the time. What would be causing this? Thanks

Clean the start switch. I had a dirty switch on my Scorpion which caused keybounce and the MPU picked it up as two or three button presses.

May not be your problem, but it's an easy place to start.

Thanks for the reply! I will check that when I get home this evening and see if that fixes it. Appreciate it.

Seconded on this. I had the EXACT same problem with my Flash machine just last week as a matter of fact. Cleaning the start switch fixed the problem right away.

Awesome to hear! Dumb question for I never had to clean this before but what is the best way to go upon?

Since low power switches in solid state games are gold flashed, use a dollar bill, a piece of paper, a business card, etc. Never use a file or sandpaper on these games.

Mine came from a harsh environment so a business card, alcohol, etc. wouldn't cut it. I've had a lot of luck with abrasive buffs on my Dremel (essentially a scotchbrite pad). A quick burst is all it takes to clean the switch without damaging it.

Worst case you have to replace the switch anyway so you have nothing to lose, but try the dollar bill, business card method first.

Happy to say that I used a business card and played about 20 games. All is working great! Thanks again
