Hello All:
Getting a Flash up and running for a friend. I have upgraded the sys 3 MPU to MPU (was already done but not all the changes, so I finished those) It has 2 ROM chip and the game ROM. I redid the power supply and driver boards as well. Last thing was new caps for the type 2 sound board. SO with all that work, the games fires up but I am unable to go into the game setup. It seems that it only will go to certain settings but not all of them. I was attempting to get to 31 and 33 to set up the background sound when I found out that the settings were not working 100%. I checked the ROMs and they are yellow and the game rom is version 2. I think it may be the ROMs but need to know i anyone else has seen this condition. Please let me know.

Quoted from slochar:

Yellow system roms have to be yellow game rom.
Green system roms have to be green game rom.
The settings changed between the 2 see flash addendum in the manuals (on ipdb)

I know that. I installed 2 green roms with the game rom and no displays, nothing would work. Replace the 2 yellow roms and game fired up no issues except cant access all thesettings.

Quoted from Onevox:

I was going to suggest first testing if the coin door buttons were reliable but I reread your post and it sounds like you are getting some options to display consistently.

i have a scanbe socket on the processor chip. I will replace that and see it that improves things. I am still open to other ideas.
