Quoted from PinBobF:

Hello all! I recently purchased by second pin and first Flash. So I guess I’m now part of the club! I am having a weird issue that I hope someone can shed some light on. The issue is while the ball is on play if it hits a pop bumper or sling (anything with a coil) it will randomly advance to the next ball while the original is still in play. It doesn’t do it every coil hit, its random. Eventually it advances to ball 3 and then game over all on the same ball. This happens on the original board as well as a new rotten dog board which I received with the pin purchase. I’ve updated the power board with the capacitor kit from Big Daddy as well as installed the Inkochnito bridge board. Those updates didn’t fix the issue. Reaching out to see if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it. Thanks in advance!

Put the game in the switch test and see which switch number appears when you activate the count switch of the pop bumper or slingshot.
Do not activate the coil switch or your coil will burn if you hold it too long.
Maybe a diode is broken or shorted in the switch matrix.
Remember, there are two switches on the special solenoids like pop bumpers and slingshots.
Please see who these work before testing this.

Quoted from dfrazer:

In case anyone is interested, here's a PDF I created of the coil wrappers used in Flash; keep in mind that everyone's printer is different, so the color shades may be slightly "off" when you print.

I have most (if not all) these wrappers in serperate files on my website http://www.inkochnito.nl
Look in the wrappers section and read the instructions at the top of the page.
In each file is colored version and a black/white version for printing on colored paper.

Inkochnito,
Do you happen to have any with the Williams "W" in a circle? For my Williams System 6 titles that had orange wrappers, they all looked like the ones I posted.

Yes I do.
All the files have a "dummy" file.
Please read the instruction at the top of the wrappers page.
"If you need the file(s) with the logo, copy the link and remove the "_text" from the link to get the other file."

The instructions for installing a Bridge Board is on my website http://www.inkochnito.nl
Just click on the Bridge Board image.
This is a direct link to installing the Bridge Board in a game like Firepower (or Flash).
https://www.pinballrebel.com/pinball/cards/Bridge_Board/FirePower.htm

I recommend the use of a Bridge Board, however you can also "just" install fuses in line with the rectifiers.
All this is to avoid a possible fire hazzard if a rectifier goes bad in the worst possible way.

Don't forget to add fuses to the bridge rectifiers or use a Bridge Board.

Never mind, I see them on the right side in the backbox....
