#102 3 years ago

Not sure if it depends on lit or not but mine made a sound every target hit... then flash ect when all are dropped ..

#103 3 years ago

#104 3 years ago

Do pop bumpers have to be removed for installation?

#109 3 years ago

Flippers gates top cover on pop bumpers(you have to work it over the bumpers but wasn't hard)
just played about 12 games! super fast super smooth! the only thing negative ive seen is the three star rollovers on right.
The protector is cutout around them. when the ball is moving slow it catches the edge a little!
I'm very happy with the product!!!!

#110 3 years ago

oops nothing holds it down. I see no movement at all!

#111 3 years ago

I made a quick video of with glass off.
fixed the flashers staying on when this was uploading.

Yes stock flippers!!

Thanx dude.. unreal how fast it looks...

#116 3 years ago

Ricklavin, why are your blue center flash lites on all the time, aren't they only supposed to flash when you knock the 3 or 5 target completely down? Now I did make a mod of running one of the door lites to to the blue 1/2 moon, and put a blinking led in there, but got tired of it and disconnected it.

#117 3 years ago

I had to unsolder the flasher bulb warmup relay ground wires fixed now!

Flash was my third pin and still sits taken apart in the dark corner of my basement behind all of the setup machines - pretty sad. One day I'll have to buy the Rottendog MPU. I got so tired of messing with those godawful-when-not-working boardsets and getting scammed out of a "working" set, that I put it back away again. It is a very cool machine, I set mine up every so often because I want to try and fix it again but it always ends up in same place, bummer. Mine looks like it was forgotten since it was routed, kind of a cool time capsule. Most of the bulbs were original and burnt out. Heavy playfield wear. I take it as a testament on how much this title was truly played on route. Probably wouldn't deal with wear on any other title but this one I am keeping the tremendous wear, with pride.

You know, it's funny. I've only played the Virtual Pinball version (and thought it played very well), but Flash is a mixed bag for me. I love the play, but the artwork is just so 9th grade horrendous. One of these days I really want to layout new artwork for this fun pin.

#132 3 years ago

1978 same year flash came out!!

#133 3 years ago

See what I did there went way off topic to one of my other addictions!
And turned it back to pinball and flash

So I need some help, can somebody post some clear pics of the wiring for each flipper and the fuse by the flippers. My flash has a really nasty hack with two of the 50v cool flippers in series and one 28v with another spare coil in series.

The line voltage is still 28v to the first coil, so I just need to figure out this wiring hack and put the right coils in.

You can see this abomination here:

i cleaned the flash pinball up added LED lights, upgraded the flippers with VIDs diy guide, threw in a rottendog mpu/driver board after getting frustrated with the original boards, upgraded to rottendog score displays, resoldered some stray wires and replaced some power supply caps. Def put some work into it.. so here are the after pics..

Yea I've been keeping my eyes open to give my flash a new friend too. I really want a Williams grand lizard, haven't seen any for sale in Florida.

You're telling me! Two lower flippers replaced with 50v coils, way overpowered so that they aren't too weak, two 28v coils in series for the upper flipper in series with the lower right instead of the dual switch.

I mapped everything out I think, but it's gonna be a bit before I can afford new upper assembly and coils. Not to mention that weird dual switch.
