Just picked up a non-working project Flash and the blue wire is cut on the J1 connector to the power board.

Can someone please tell me where that should be connected?

Thanks!

I don't see a blue wire on J1 in the schematics. After a closer look, It looks to go to the flippers.

I just looked at a picture from the Flash I had and do not see that blue wire. My picture does not show it from the best angle though.

Top left of J1 is a blue wire and goes to the can capacitor

Quoted from tomtest:

[quoted image][quoted image]

I think you need another more accurate opinion. I do not see what Tomtest is telling you. I see no wire (In his picture) at your blue wire location and a PURPLE wire at upper left of J1 where he is saying it is blue. I wish I had a better picture of mine to share.

Here is mine. I have no wire in that spot at all.

the transformer may have been swapped out at some point?

someone may have tried adding the wire for whatever reason?

but looking at the wiring from the transformer to that 12 pin plug, pins 3, 5, 6, 7 & 8 are not used.

Nothing here either. You sure got some dirty wires.
