Thinking about getting rid of my Flash Gordon as I don't play it as much anymore and could use some room.
Very nice original playfield. Really nice glass.
Game works 100% except for 1 or 2 flaky sockets I'll prob repair before sale.
All new drop targets. Game was torn down and shopped last year.
Cab is really solid but faded and could use a repaint.

What're these going for now?

I would say 2800-3000. There seems to be quite a few people ISO this title (myself included) lately. Great game!

2200-2500 is fair for the condition. Less will move it faster.

Your's is fairly nice. Some wear up top but 2500k+ all day depending where you sell and where you are located.

#6 3 years ago

Below $2500 it probably sells in hours.
Just below $3k it might take a week or a bit more.

Original playfield...bump up the value. It’s only original once.

I was wondering this. I have a Flash Gordon with original playfield and it has wear but not to bad. Would a hardtop destroy the value?

nice orginal playfield. that has to be worth something. if you want anywhere around $2k mark it as sold and I will take it.

Yes.

I personally would pay more for an original playfield with some wear than I would for one that has a hardtop. But if the playfield is completely trashed hardtop is not a bad option.

They are only original once. Considering the fact that hardtops and repro playfields play “different”, I’d pay the extra few bucks for an excellent condition original.

Thanks for the opinions. I was wondering the question about the hardtop also. I actually was going to put a hardtop in this originally but the playfield is so nice I couldn't do it.

Would it be worth stenciling the cab? I think that's the worst part and I actually like painting games.

It may add value for some but I could care less about the cabinet. You posted pics of a 2500 game for certain. Nice example. You stencil it and may get 3k but that’s an unknown and a lot of work too.

As long as the boards are solid, i see it as 2500-2600.

As far as a hardtop...they are an absolute LAST RESORT. They lower the value, but if the playfield is trashed, there really isn't another choice other than an actual playfield swap (of course).

I don't think stenciling would be worth it. The time, effort, and costs don't equal out. A lot of buyers wouldn't care either, so it would likely actually lower your buyer pool with the added cost/price.

$2,500. Don't spend the effort painting the cabinet. Unless you go for the full restoration, it's not worth the time, effort or expense.
