Quoted from Andyzola87:What do you guys think of the before and after?
Looks great to me...purists will probably have a different opinion.
Are you going to make cabinet decals?

In case someone hasn't seen this restoration...

I am considering doing a restore on my Flash Gordon.
I have been working on generating side art, to possibly make decals for the cabinet. But I still can't decide whether to make a decal or just repaint the cabinet.
I have seen a few repaint jobs that look great, but painting certainly isn't my specialty and I really don't have an existing space to dedicate to a paint booth.
I did a retheme of a Bally Night Rider into a "Whack That Mole", some pics here:

Those decals turned out pretty good, so I'm leaning towards them.
I have borrowed some graphics I found that I think would look good as a FG cabinet art. Today I had a B/W paper sample of the coin door cabinet graphic printed by Kinkos.
I told Kinko's to print the graphic full size and of course they printed it to some other size. But it's close enough to get an idea of how a decal might look.
The dark color is "Black" and the lighter color is "Red".
Any comments are welcome.

Quoted from Robotworkshop:s the head on Flash Gordon hinged like games similar to Elektra or does it just bolt on like earlier games?
Hinged.

I've been playing my newly acquired FG for awhile and have a few questions, I'd appreciate it if someone could enlighten me.
Sound Option (setting 18): do you use 00, 01, 02 or 03...chimes, chimes & background, noise w/o background or noise w/ background?
The voice callouts "Flash", "Emperor Ming Awaits" sound somewhat garbled/scratchy, is that common or normal?
When either of the 15 second clock timer lights are lit, does that mean that scoring is just multiplied, or are you supposed to hit something? Is there a difference between the two 15 second timers?
Thanks.

What do people have the slope of their game set too? I have mine at 5.5 deg, and thinking of going to 6.
The manual doesn't say, so any comments?
Robert
Quoted from zahner:I keep mine at 6.5, and it seems perfect to me. 5.5 sounds pokey to me.
Yes, it is slower at 5.5 deg. Will try 6.5.

My very nice Flash Gordon is for sale:

Quoted from Blitzburgh99:My question: should there be one long connector on the top right or two smaller connectors, as my game currently has.
It really should be 1 long connector, but 2 as you currently have works
If you aren't too mechanical and have never re-pinned a connector yet, I would just leave it as is and replace it after you get a little more experience with repinning connectors.

Quoted from dfrazer:Just picked up a FG a couple of weeks ago, and was wondering if anyone knows of any news on Hardtops / CPR Playfields in terms of availability.
Both have been made and sold out. Only possibility is the secondary market, presently.
