Quoted from HoakyPoaky:While I do love the overall look of the incandescents on this pin, I'm going to put sunlight white bulbs in the GI, just to brighten it up a little bit.
Quoted from WonkoTSane:I would also recommend that you look at the sunlight temperature frosted bulbs from Comet.
Damn great condition! Gonna play a lot better when you get white rubbers on there!
Welcome to the club
FG are vastly diff'rent machine to machine. If you score a million on mine that's a really good damn game. Another place I play the high like like 4-5 million or something and it's much easier to keep the ball on the upper playfield and make points that way....oh and that one has a center post so go figure.
Yeah Bally's will naturally be a little lower than newer games because the flipper is fatter.
You can try to unscrew them a bit, hold them in place, and then tighten them up to help a bit with the hop but you're getting new ones anyway.
Hmm...shit I think I was supossed to order some new ones for another game myself. Thanks for the reminder
Quoted from arzoo:CPR has FG playfields back in stock. Email they sent me said 23, but now 22
So last night I got an email from my work saying they were giving us a 1k bonus for having to work during corvis, so I bought the 2nd to last one.
Good to have projects!
Quoted from arzoo:This is my first CPR pf and overall I'm really impressed. Unfortunately there's a noticeable black streak on the upper pf. Hopefully they can supply a replacement.

Can you show us?
Mine should be here Monday, want to know what to look for before I let the thing cure a for a few months.
Quoted from arzoo:I. Not a huge deal, but given how much these cost, it should be perfect.
Oh I agree. Thanks.
Quoted from AUKraut:Agree 110%, but if you think that's bad you should see the CPR Fathom playfields and how they star rollovers line up there.........[quoted image]
At least it's the far side of them & you're less likely to see them...hopefully?
Quoted from arzoo:It's more noticeable in person than in the pic. Not a huge deal, but given how much these cost, it should be perfect.
[quoted image]
I imagine its on all of them
Quoted from bluebomber:Oh, is that because of print head movement?
Oh ha I have no idea. It was kind of a joke because you wouldn't think this kind of thing would happen with the new printing technique.
Quoted from AUKraut:Agree 110%, but if you think that's bad you should see the CPR Fathom playfields and how they star rollovers line up there.........[quoted image]
Well here's the genuine article...not perfect either
20210427_204434.jpg20210427_204440.jpgLooking forward to doing mine after some cure time. I hope by then someone makes light board so i can drop those sockets off at the dump.
Quoted from gdonovan:What pin?
I assume Flash Gordon
The common should be the wire connecting all the lamp sockets. It is not a ground, it carries the 6v.
Or yes as stated above for the backbox
Quoted from HPR:Those playfields are screened or digital ink printed ??
I dont think they screen anyone them anymore?
Quoted from tomdrum:I am in the middle of 2 CPR FG PF swaps and they are as brutal as the game. I've done 5 other swaps before these 2 and FG is by far the most time consuming of all. I did install all new lamp sockets and braid and everything is so tight on it you have to be exact laying down the braid.
For those of who have done a CPR swap, how many hours did you have in it? I'm wrapping coils and detailing assemblies. I also hate the linear flippers and went back to the old style.
[quoted image]
Oh it was a goddamn nightmare for sure.
First time I did an upper PF so that really added some time. Sockets under mech ended up causing a short.. those rollovers were touchh with yoppsicles etc etc. Took a long time
Quoted from rack-em-up:Have you considered Yoppsicles?
Worth a look for sure. Mine came out pretty well.
Quoted from arzoo:I count 87.
Are you counting the one on the top side under arch?
Quoted from FantasticPinball:Quite a colour difference between a hard top and a reprint.
[quoted image]
Whoa...maroon
Quoted from mkdud:I've got my posts in the middle position with my CPR FG... Plays really well. I have the tilt set to medium, skillful nudging can give you at least some control over the out lane drains.
Thanks!
