Hello FG Pinheads! Just got FG delivered today, can't wait to tear into this game and start the rebuilding process. Going to do a full restoration and get this game set up right. Looking for any and all advice on this project to get it right. Here's what I notice so far:
1. Back box and cabinet definitely need new stencils and paint
2. Going to order a new CPR play field (currently outta stock)
3. Strobe light is weak but Marco can get repro board with strobe in 30-60 days
4. Serial numbers are matching on back box and cabinet

Nice!! In all seriousness, your playfield looks to be in the top 5% condition wise of any original playfield Flash Gordons still out there. Unless there is something not showing in those pics, redo the cabinet if needed, fix the strobe, and enjoy the best Bally ever made!

The playfield is in better than average shape for its age. Looks like someone put mylar over it at some point. There is the normal saucer hole wear and a little wear on the upper left playfield where the ball goes back to the top. This one is too nice not to go all in on it. Do you know how I can figure out the paint colors on the box and the cabinet? FYI Eight Ball Deluxe is the best Bally game in my opinion. FG is my second Favorite!

Wow! Your game looks freaking amazing man, you set the bar really high. Definitely going to take my time and read up on the previous threads as suggested. I just finished up my 8BD so I have a lot more experience. Feel free to drop some knowledge on me anytime!

Direct short to the 5 amp fuse at the power board F4

Have looked at all of the obvious spots but can't find
anything out of the ordinary

Whatever the root of the problem is, it happened
during normal game play. Machine lights up on the
playfield but the displays are blank.

Any suggestions?
