Hi everybody.
I am having an odd issues with my Flash Gordon where it will randomly put itself into the lamp test mode halfway through a game with two or more players. Seems to be completely random.
Once it is in lamp test mode, you can open the coin door and press the menu button to continue advancing through the test modes as if you had started it the test modes like you normally would.
Any ideas as to why this may happen?
The test button when pressed puts a ground short on a PIA pin. First thing to do is to narrow problem down to a mechanical or electrical problem. Start a game then unplug the front door and see if the game continues to behave like this, If not look for a short in the cable or it could be the button itself.
