Our Flash Gordon was working fine until recently when all the solenoids (with the exception of the flippers) stopped working along with all the scoring displays. The game starts up fine with all the lights and sounds working. The ball kicks out and the flippers work. All the low voltage switches seem to work. None of the high voltage solenoids work (target resets, bumpers, slings, etc.) and none of the score displays (or credits) light up. I've checked the 5 fuses near the transformer and one small fuse in the back on the solenoid driver board. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the advice everyone - I'll look into your suggestions tonight.

I'm really new to this (fixing SS pins). When you say "rectifier board" are you referring to the board with the fuses next to the transformer? The board in my FG seems to have the bridge rectifiers mounted on the underside - does that makes sense? Also, when testing pin voltages, do I disconnect the jack or leave it connected.

When I run the solenoid test it fires the extra game knocker but nothing else. I also noticed when the knocker is fired the score displays flicker for a second.

Thanks again for the help!

Quoted from dothedoo:

Knocker is powered directly off the rectifier board. So did the ball kick out during test? If no other coils fired then the problem does point to the fuse under the playfield.

During test the knocker fires and then the ball kicks out, but nothing else.

So I found the broken wire (yellow) on the right slingshot. That fixed solenoid problem. Now I just need to figure out why all the scoring displayes are out?

Got the displays fixed - bad fuse holder (F2).
