Going to freshen up a battle worn FG. Will be using a hardtop (first timer here), add new parts above pf, and repaint the cabinet.
Here is the patient.
I use a rotisserie, and the 2 level play field creates a bit of a problem. I screwed these strips of wood to help stabilize. Because I sure as hell dont want to strip the entire undersides to separate the 2.
Part of the allure of a hardtop is u can leave the stuff below in place.
Thanks. Pimp did these a few yrs ago for another pinsider. I loved them at the time, and was glad to hear that they are still available if you ask for them.
And the black powder is just killin it.
Should have pf back in tomorrow.
That’s the way Flash Gordon should be done, I saw once someone laser cut into the side rails and that looked cool. But your machine is looking great...
Thx, this machine deserves so much better than the uninspired cabinet art it was given. Not the only one of the time, either.

I don't know, with fresh colors and powdered armor I kinda like the standard cabinet art. My backbox and cabinet came back together today:

Wow! Impressive! Automotive paint? Did you clear it as well? I redid a Flash Gordon cabinet years ago when I first got into the hobby. I plan on redoing it the proper way soon. I do regret not clearing it because the gold striping I used started to wear or fade unevenly.
