Still cannot get my upper right flipper to work on FG machine. Both lower flippers work fine.
Upper flipper has new coil, EOS swithch and I even replaced the lower stacked EOS SW on
the lower right flipper which triggers the upper flipper.

Is there a specific Transisitor that runs the upper coil? What else should I look at?

I have checked trace on light brown wiring back to CPU board and all seems fine.

Any help would be most appreciated.

thanks

Can you move the flipper by hand? Did you test the entire circuit with a continuity tester?

#3 12 years ago

yes, I buzzed the wiring out with meter.

Lift the play field, tape the door switch button down, watch the flipper mechanism as you push the flipper button. What is it doing? Hook the tester to the wire lug (Red +) and (Black -) to a ground watch the meter, what happens?

For Flash Gordon-Bally

http://www.ipdb.org/files/874/Bally_1981_Flash_Gordon_Manual.pdf

If you don't have the manual click the link above to download it. In the trouble shooting section it gives you the procedure to test and options for the repair. Follow it to the letter.

For Flash Gordon-Bell Games

The same manual is used.

I do have the manual, but I don't see where it has any repair advive for no working
upper flipper. All solenoids work except for that 1 upper flipper.

Cabinet switch good? What happens when you ground out the coil?
