So my FG was working fine when I lifted the PF to adjust a couple of switches (power off).
Upon boot up I have the following bizarre problems:

- The credits/ball in play display values are also being displayed in the Player 2 display, as well as the correct displays.
- A bunch of controlled lamps are no longer working, including the "Gordon" letters in the backbox, the 1,2,3 arrows on the upper PF, and the eob bonus lights (2x, 3x, etc.) and the Ming lamps on the lower pf.

I can't fathom what could have happened to suddenly cause these issues to show up, hoping someone here has seen this before and can shed some light on where to look for the problem(s), etc.

You probably not have a switch touching something it should not be. It is usually the start switch touching grounded coin door. The same U10 PIA PA ports service switch strobes, feature lamps, and latching a display to read the data. If a switch is shorted it can make the 4502 chip helping multiplex these PIA ports to stick always on and ends up having the display get wrong data.

Since player 1 and 2 displays are mucked up that is PA0 and PA1. I would focus on switch strobe 0 and strobe 1. DMM checking resistance to things like ground and power rails can help clue you in to exactly where the problem is. Same with logic probe while powered on. Visual inspection of switches you messed with and coin door switches good thing too.

Unplug the coin door connector. If it goes away then check coin door switches

Bingo. Coin door had a free wire shorting to the door. Very bizarre symptoms but not something I’ll forget if it happens again.

Game is back to 100%, thanks guys!
