I've gone and done it now...well sort of. So somehow, all of the screws loosened on the right sling and the entire mech fell and must have shorted something. The first indicator was that the game would boot but wouldn't start and the P1 display showed garbage. I saw the sling mech sitting on the wiring, move it out of the way (mounted it back in the stripped holes) and verified that a game started. I was satisfied and relieved, but didn't notice that the insert lights were out. I filled the holes and recounted the sling nice and snug.

I took off the lamp board and inspected the connectors but didn't see anything on either. I also didn't see anything on the auxillary lamp board either.

Any help please?

I don't think the assembly physically broke any wiring. Is there a fuse that would prevent the controlled lamps from not working? I'm thinking possibly something in the rectifier board?

It's definitely a fuse. A 20A at F1 on the rectifier board. Hipefully it's nothing worse. I'll have to get one at the hardware store tomorrow.

Man, it seems like it's one thing after another...

I'll get the best of him yet

Replaced the fuse and all the controlled lamps work, but now noticed that the strobe lamp isn't working. Any thoughts? I'll check the schematic to see if if can find anything.

So it looks like SCR Q25 on the auxiliary board controls the strobe light. Can anyone tell my how to test this kind of SCR? Anything else I should look for?

Could the bulb have been blown when the fuse blew? It doesn't look burnt.
