Since the assembly fell off, the first thing I would check the physical wiring and trace connectivity with a DMM back to the connectors to the lamp board.

If the physical wiring looks good, check the test point values on your aux lamp driver board:

Yep, always start the "crime scene" then work backwards. If you use the TPs as stated above and they're 0 VDC, then keep going backwards until you find the culprit.
