Williams, 1979When playing a game and hitting right flipper in a fairly firm way the game goes dead. GI stays lit but all working coils and score display go dead. Turn off, turn back on and the game plays no problem. Until the next time I hit the right flipper hard.
Normal pressure on the flipper does not cause the problem. Only a harsh hard hit of the flipper button.
Any suggestions of what might be causing this?
If the machine has the original board set, the 40 pin inter connector females on the driver board goes bad and causes problems.
I had the board bulletproofed a couple of years ago. Full redo of the 40 pin connector. Do you still think that’s the issue?
Check your voltages. Original power supply would be suspect on age alone.
