Will flame polishing take scratches out of the clear portion of the dmd panel cover. My IJ looks fine on all the parts with graphics but the center has a few scratches, I doubt novus will get them out. Hate to have to buy a repro just for that

I'd try buffing it out with compounds first. It just seems that it's too thin for flame polishing.

Yup. At least that's what I found. I could get the scratches out but I ended up with a rippled finish.

Use some maguiers heavy cut polishing compound on it. Then the medium cut. Then the fine cut. That's what I do. Looks brand new.

If you have an aversion for elbow grease, get yourself a pack of polishing pads to attach to a drill from Amazon.

That stuff works better than novus I assume

McGuiers…I’ve used it to take scratches out of my panel covers. Works great with low speed polisher. Advance auto has car polishers. Great part is I paint correct my cars after working on pins! Win-win!

Novus has it's place somewhere, but after using regularly available compounds for so long I haven't found it.

As Underlord said above... Get a polisher people. Save tons of time, and your joints!

Polished a scuffed panel on Jokerz! by hand and it looks great now. Thought I was going to have to find another panel.
