I just acquired a Shadow and the lower backbox GI wasn’t working. I measured the voltage across pins 3 and 9 on J120 and got 1.5 volts. I measured the voltage at J115 and got 1.5 Volts on several wires.

I then moved to the GI transformer plug to test voltages and as soon as I picked up the plug, the lower backbox GI flickered, then came on perfectly bright. As I gently wiggled the wires on the transformer side of the plug, the GI lower backbox GI would come on and go off. None of the other GI is affected.

Has anyone had to rebuild this plug? First time I’ve had an issue with this plug in probably 30+ DCS games I’ve owned.

Just had to step away for a minute and come back to it - the issue was on the board side of the plug. One of the plugs where they squeezed 2 wires into one pin was charred and one of the wires popped right off.

Hopefully I can just repair the one pin - not a lot of room to work down there!

Yes - Great Plains is awesome. Luckily I had some of his goodies on hand. I’m glad it was on the male connector as they are 10x easier to extract than the females (I could make a joke here).
