Hello everyone,
I recently picked up a Bally Viking as it’s been on my hit list for years. The backglass one of the previous owners decided it was a good idea to puta strip of the dark brown packing tape at the bottom to stop the backglass from flaking off as the bottom was pretty bad. I decided I was going to try to triple thick it anyway with the tape on because I knew I’d lose everything if I tried to take the tape off. As you can see in the pictures I put the two pieces that flaked right off back on and it somewhat stuck. I would like some advice on how to stop it from getting worse as I think I can live with this backglass if I can stop it from getting worse. After I triple thicked it the back was better and all together but just won’t stick fully to the glass I’m guessing because of the tape that’s there. I’m considering just laying down some Mylar and hoping that holds it together but wanted some opinions if anyone else had had success with a similar situation or something like it. I did find some videos and posts that people said to use cling wrap (which I did) and the problem still persists after it’s dry. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
