was hoping somebody has a good method or experience fixing wrinkles in the cabinet decals around the legs. I just bought a hard rubber hand roller and heard using this in combination with a hair dryer to deactivate the glue works....

Anybody ever tried this? What kind of barrier did you use between the hair dryer and your machine? Any help is appreciated.

Can I use the hair dryer directly on the cabinet?

Yeah I saw that...it was cheaper at walmart and they estimated it would ship immediately...they were wrong

Quoted from yzfguy:

Ok, assuming one is able to get the wrinkles out, how do ya prevent it from happening again?

I plan on getting some felt or softer covers and maybe use them with my hard protectors?

Quoted from treborlicec:Is this a restored decalled cab or a new stern with decals?

This is for a restored decalled cab. Just got an IJ not too long ago.

I can say from experience, the plastic PinGuard protectors will cause them to wrinkle again. I have bought the felt protectors from Pinball Life, and I will be de-wrinkling and swapping the felt in soon.

Think felt under the pinguards would work?

Where can you get the stern metal leg brackets?

I got the roller in and it worked pretty well. I'll be doing this again but its working so far. Used a hair dryer while i rolled and pushed with fingers.

after - still needs a little work but much better. Going to be putting felt under the protectors.

Fingers did most of the work but the roller helped even it out and push the air out in a more uniform fashion. It was with it for me I think but probably not for everybody.
