Williams, 1993The issue my cannon is having is there is an intermittent break in one of the wires that goes to the transmitting opto. Question is, can't this easily be fixed my just splicing about a 8-10" section of each of these wires, then putting some shrink tubing back over it?

Beleive i saw on an earlier post you were selling it... Am I correct?
You should be able to splice a new wire. Solder the connections and seal with shrink tubbing.
Again, assuming the break is in the wire...
