    hello,

how do i fix those tricky wedge / twist light sockets once and for all.
when you know you have a good bulb, and socket. you get the light to work and then in looses its connection after a few games.

the wedge is still very secure and there is pressure but no current flowing.

do i need to clean the light light board? and how?

    thanks

The solder pads could be worn down, you can reflow or add a bit of solder to help that. Bend the bulb socket contacts downwards. Make sure you don't have cracked solder on the diode, reflow it while you're there.

Yes, melt and add about 1/2" of solder. See those little black divots at the end of each crescent? You want to make them go away; replaced with solder.

Take the board off and perform the task with it evenly flat so the solder doesn't pool. While you have it out, go ahead and touch up the connector header pins as well.

Be sure the pins on the pcb the connector goes to aren't the issue. Age, vibration, and gravity loosen them. It doesn't hurt to reflow the solder on them.
