I have a Safe Cracker that I am in the process of restoring. The game has been in storage for over a decade. I installed a new rope light before putting the machine in storage but the plastic of the outer sheath has now turned cloudy (milky white). I tried using the peroxide/Oxyclean method that is reported to remove discoloration from ABS plastic to no avail, likely because the rope light sheath is made from a different material (PVC I think).

The rope light that was originally in the machine had the same issue (which is why I replaced it), so I have to believe this is not unique to me. Since replacements are no longer available I am hoping someone might know of a of a way to decrease, or hopefully remove, the discoloration from the rope light.

Thanks in advance.
