Had a FT. incredibly boring game. ramps and multiball. figure popeye would have worse flow but way better rules, both have great art.

Fish Tales is a very simple game, almost like system 11 ruleswise where that goal that you have to achieve is here in a multiball (lock 3 balls in caster club and hit captive ball for super jackpot). that is hard to do, and you do it rarely if at all, but all other things in this table pale into insignificance and you can ignore them against putting balls into caster's club.

let's run down what there is to do on fish tales:
-fishing with targets on the side, you don't aim for them, just catch a bounce and then hit spinner, points are meaningless
-monster fish ramps chase + spinner is fun, but doing it over and over loses its charm
-captive ball advances awards and you have to make a right orbit to advance to next one
-video mode is fun (2nd award on captive ball), you play one per game
-fish 4 fishes and you get feeding frenzy for 10M per shot, similar to rock the boat.
-multiball, where most points are.

that's it. kind of poor for wpc game. not even chopping wood because there is no wood to chop.

dmd graphics, sound and playfield artwork and backglass are top notch. just the game is meh, good for location, bad for small collection...
