Hi guys - I just got my first DMD it is a Fish Tales!
Lots of stuff to do on it but I'm loving it so far.

I have noticed that every time the new ball is fed into the plunger lane, droptarget down solenoid kicks in 3 times even though the target is already down. Is this normal for this pin and if not, what could be causing it?

Thanks in advance and I'm sure I'll be bothering you with this pin quite a bit if you don't mind

Anyone have any cool custom made instruction/rules cards for this game?

Quoted from xenon325i:

It certainly shouldn't do that. I agree with spanks - check the switch. If it thinks the target is up it will try and drop it. Does the drop target raise / lower correctly in solenoid test mode?

Thanks for your help!

Yes - when I go into test mode rising up and lowering down works normally. I'll examine the game tonight and check the switch. Maybe its just dirty as I think it didn't do this exactly every time, but most of the time. Feels like the game thinks the drop target is up as its trying to lower it just in case.

Update : thanks for the help, it was the switch. The hand of the drop target was not closing the switch when it was down. Moved the switch just a tiny bit for a better angle and that did it. Now it works well and no solenoid firing when not needed.

Quoted from xenon325i:

The drop-target goes up when you have two balls locked again in multiball for double jackpot and after multiball with a jackpot scored to start "Fishing Tournament, sign up today!"

Thanks - I have my game set on medium difficulty settings.
