Hi everybody,

I have a Fish Tales that I love but I noticed after I bought it that there are what appear to be 'Runs' in the playfield. Not sure if this is paint or clear coat.. or something else.. but I can't imagine it passed QC at the factory like this.

I was thinking that if it's clear coat I might be able to sand it level and then re-polish but this is, of course, at high risk of screwing up the paint and makes me nervous.

Any suggestions for how I might be able to fix it? Have you seen this type of defect on a Diamond Plate PF before?

Thanks, Ryan

It certainly could be factory, everything was going to operators back then. They wouldn't care. It looks like you need a bright light and a close eye to see it. If it were mine I wouldn't touch it. It wouldn't deter me from buying either. That said, I've never noticed that on any B/W pins I've had.

Thanks Herbert! I am probably being too picky - maybe ill just polish it up and call it good.

Hard to tell from the picture but could it be bubbles in mylar? Do they feel hard when you push with your fingernail?
