Quoted from Blackmagic1:Hello,
I am new to pinball and Pinside. I just purchased #Fish Tales as my first game. Overall, I love the game. The cabinet and back box could use some work, but the play field and mechanics seem to all be operating as expected with the exception of the reel. I read some of the other posts on related issues but being new to all of this much of the lingo and recommendations were well over my head. I would really appreciate some assistance, simplified for a newbie, to help diagnose and address my issue. The reel seems to be misaligned with the ramp and regularly does not release dead balls to the catapult as it is supposed to. If a third ball is sent to the reel it often tries to fill a hole where a ball is already present. Additionally, the reel doesn't properly release balls at the end of the game. It seems like it tries multiple times but passes the exit hole. I know enough to start by using the system reel test. When performed Opto 1 and Opto 2 show as closed. The reel continuously rotates and Opto 1 and 2 never show as open. The reported errors continue to run. Any guidance on where to start in figuring out this issue would be great!
Thanks in advance!
The most common issue with the reel not lining up has to do with the switch on the metal guide to the reel. Ck that first in switch test.
