Try cleaning the optics on the reel mechanism. Believe it or not that might make the slightest difference in where the reel stops which affects alignment. Cleaning the reel optics is the first thing I used to do when my reel acted up. I think I finally got enough of the stray debris outta there that it's been good for a while now.
