Quoted from mcalon:

Thinking about building a topper for my machine which is missing the topper.
Anyone has a clue as to where can I find the actual fish? Will it ever be reproduced?
Any links for a fake one?! Similar?
Also if anyone has one for sell I'm in to that.[quoted image][quoted image]

Why not go for billy the singing bass and mute the audio : https://www.amazon.com/billy-bass/s

Hi there fellow casters! Last week I bought a Fish Tales so happy to join the club!!

I had to carry the whole cabinet to the attic. (Hell of a workout that was). So I took the back box of, labeled all the wires and sockets and disconnected them. When reconnecting it all back, the lights of "Stretch the Truth" are not lit anymore. So I checked the connector in the power board and it was connected to J138 ... But when i checked the manual I think it says to connect it to J137 ... (see image attached) Should I connect it to J137 socket? or whould I blow stuff up?

Any experience or any suggestions how to fix this?
Perhaps this isn't even the problem...

Thx Guys!! Happy Fishing.

Who would have thought? I've should have tested with my multimeter.

But thx Anyway Guys!!!

I'll take the real one, until I find one I got this.
DHL lost my package so I will keep waiting

You can order the plastic hood as well, you can still find them in online shops.

Hi Guys I just bought an old Fishtales. The previous owner owned it for 20 years and never touched anything nor played on it. So I was wondering if there is any newer improved software like a new game ROM or sound ROM and if it's worth updating? - Thx Guys!

Quoted from Neal_W:

FYI - I'm running on L-3 with no issues. (new versions may just add small changes like support for overseas currency combinations, etc)

Ah ok that isn't worth the buy. How about Sound Roms? Does upgrading them make a big difference ? I'm on SOUND REV L-1 .... is that updatable as well? or is that stay standard? Non-upgradable.... is see some U18 roms for sale ...

#5108 1 year ago

Do you need a ROM upgrade for a colorDMD? Is anybody running a Color DMD on rev. L-3?

Quoted from phs4real:

Color DMD (LED dots) looks amazing in FT and doesn't require a rom upgrade. L6 is the latest rom available.
If you wanting to do more...LED lighting throughout if you prefer a more vibrant look and run at cooler temps than original incandescent bulbs. I used frosted white for GI and color LEDs on inserts and flashers and I also highlighted some areas of backglass with color as well.
There's a few different side art designs to choose from.
BriteCaps EVO Lighting gives a modern look to pop bumpers and brightens upper playfield.

Thx for the tips!! So your running a Color DMD om L3?

Quoted from Marco1973:

This PIN Is full of colour so you did a great job, in my opinion.
In the second picture the fish Is really fun.
But Mark the Mosquito will be the best solution there, awaiting Stebel will build some.

Thx man!

Hey Guys, I just bought my first Williams game and was wondering about the lockbar receiver. Their seems to be no spring attached to the lockbar handle ? Is this correct? Or am I just missing the spring? I saw some William receivers online. They seem to have a spring ... but not sure about Fish Tales and not sure where to attach the spring. On the picture it seems to connect to a hole in de handle .... (havent seen one on my FT) ... Anybody?

Quoted from cyberfez:

I figured out how to hook the PIN2DMD to my Fishy with minimal invasive changes. I made a video on it.

Great Video! (thx for mentioning my fishing rod as a mod LOL. I was planning to add a pin2DMD aswell, so perfect timing. Crimping the wires together seems like a irreversible step though. Is it also possible to connect an external 12v 5 amp power supply to the DMD running of the transformer?

Hey Hey, I was wondering what the flipper alignment you guys are using (lightning flippers)? I read about the toothpick method .... I find it more easy to shoot the "Casters Club" .... any thoughts?

Standard Williams flipper bat -

A little more of the lightning flipper story. Fish Tales, BSD, Doctor Who, and Popeye were the 4 I recall that shipped with lightning flippers by request of the big operator in Germany.

Thx!
