Nice little read here, and a pic from another article. I remember playing my buddies FishTales one time and he was like, "whoa, I've never heard that music before and I've had this game for years." Lol

Is the cast supposed to go to the right or left flipper?

#5403 72 days ago

Left, but every machine plays different, and the wireform is adjustable.

#5404 70 days ago

My fish tales sound rom has a sticker on it that says L-1, but the DMD displays the sound version as P-1. Is that what it is supposed to say or is my rom mislabeled?

Thanks

Here's some info on adjustment:

There's like a page of banter about adjustment before I did some research and experimentation and made the linked post.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

Added a single Comet lamp with a 4-led bulb to add light on the boat ramp, and even one lamp made a big difference. If you look closely on mine, the target decal on the captive ball target is a pic of my dad fishing on the lake, holding up a bass. He passed away in 2019, but he loved fishing. So he’s always in the boat on FT now.

Nice little memory of your father, great personal touch man..

so the spinner that registers the stretch the truth meter stopped working, I've never replaced/worked on a spinner. Any ideas where to start? thanks!

Broken wire on the switch, bad diode on the switch. Miss adjusted switch.

so you're thinking it's the switch lol

Someone once told me, alot of times the best tool you can have in pinball, is your eyes. Take a look and you tell us

My dmd displays L1, and the chip says L1

If the single switch stopped working, and there are no other issues, it's almost certainly a bad cherry switch, switch needing adjustment, or a wire came loose from the switch. Should be an easy fix

I had this happen recently. Lift the playfield and move the spinner to see if the switch contact is registering. May just need to bend the lever a little.

Anyone have any fish tales mods they don't need and want to sell? Like the monster fish mod?

#5420 58 days ago

Monster fish is from Scooby Doo. There is one on AliExpress.

That's the 5 inch version. There is a smaller 2.5 inch version which was the one used for the monster fish mod with the LED eyes (can't recall who made it originally)

First link worked fine for me, works the same as yours.

#5425 58 days ago

Yep. They both work. One skips all the tracking and other bullshit one doesn't.

Thats a new one! I imagine it mounts in front of the casters club and covers or replaces the plastic on the front of the casters club vuk. The LED cord included is short. Google also came up with a similar Wet Willie's mod for White Water.

The one sentence in the description is really sus: The mod is brand new and comes with top-quality casters, ensuring that your pinball machine stays stable and secure during gameplay.
