The tricky part is pulling out the stencil after shooting the color. That is where you can really mess up.
1) Don't put too much paint
2) DON'T PUT TOO MUCH PAINT, seriously, because the base is white and the stencil is white, it should kinda look the same. But it a mistake to try to have the same shade on the cabinet (let's say black) as on the stencil itself (white). It makes you put more paint to have it even and it's a mistake.
3) Lighter coat will help when pulling out the stencil.
