Tomorrow I'll be using cabinet stencils to repaint the art on my Bally playboy restoration. I normally don't do much to my cabinets, but this project came with cabinet stencils so I might as well use them.

I've already stripped, sanded, primed, and sprayed the white base color. I read that it's a good idea to let the base coat cure for a few days before doing the stencils, and it's been 3 days now with tomorrows weather good for painting.

Im looking for tips on actually using the stencils from those with more experience, best way to apply/remove, tips for alignment, how screwed am I that I inherited stencils from classicarcade and not pinball pimp, etc.

From my research I've found that you can't buy playboy stencils right now due to licensing so I'd rather ask first then screw up the set I have

Magenta day completed. Lessons learned:

It takes way longer than you would expect.

Applying isn't that hard if you watch pinball pimps instruction video.

ClassicArcade stencils are GARBAGE. Too small, need to extend them with friskit every time. They rip super easily, and they fall off the cabinet after 30 seconds of being left alone, to say nothing of them blowing away when spraying. If I cared more about my cabinets (and if playboy licensing wasn't in the air right now) I'd be sanding this all off and buying better stencils. Even when the stencils stick, the lines are messy. And when they dont...grrrrrr

Tomorrow: more of the same with black, oh and now registration will matter. what could go wrong? :/
