When pulling out the pf, lift as you pull out. It does not lock into the out position like older games. Pf just slides on rails and will drop off if pulled straight out. Learned that the hard way. 
Other than that, you don't need to do anything other than fix anything that breaks or comes loose. Maybe wipe pf down now and then to keep it looking nice. If interested, you can go through the menu settings to make the game easier/harder or adjust power of coils to get the game exactly how you like it.
