Chuck - I'm not following you. What are you referring to?

We must refer to mini basketball as different things. Here in hillbilly country we call those head to head basketball games pop a shot. Haha.

    #11 6 years ago

Now I follow! My high is 109. The game has 3 levels. Starts off with 30 seconds, if at the end of 30 seconds you have more than 30 points you get either an extra 10 seconds or extra 15 seconds. At the end of that time frame if you have more than 60 points you get an additional 10 seconds.

    #12 6 years ago

Tournament slots are filling up fast folks! Send your deposit ASAP to reserve your spot.

I have the same game. We play it two ways. Beer in hand (have to have a beer in one hand the whole time) high score is 114. Then regular two handed. High score is 159. I have neither of those scores. Haha. My friends go nuts on this thing.

Only 13 spots left. Tournament field is filling up super fast!

Sounds like we need a side tourney specific for Pop-A-Shot

I'm probably going to have it closed out to help create more space. I do have Tiki Toss though.

I wish I could commit right now to that final spot but it's too far out to say if I can definitely make it. There is a chance I'll be going back to Wisconsin one of those weekends in March.

Understood Casey. I just got a deposit on the last spot so we are now full and have moved to a waiting list.

    #26 6 years ago

Tournament has sold out! I'm creating a waiting list in case anyone backs out between now and the tournament date. Thanks for all the interest and support that everyone is giving to Delaware pinball!

    All,

It looks like I finally have a stable account with Facebook, so please make sure you visit and follow the new Facebook page for First State Flippers as most if not all communication will go through Facebook moving forward.

    https://www.facebook.com/1ststateflippers

March Madness is just 11 days away!!! The first Delaware tournament of 2018 is shaping up to be a good one. This is the first of 6 tournaments for Delaware this year. Don't forget that you will be earning points towards next years IFPA State Championship series as well as earning points towards Delaware's first ever "Tour Championship".

A few announcements and updates for everyone attending March Madness. I live in a development, so if you are able to carpool please do so to help out with the parking situation. As for parking, please use my driveway (4 cars) and then park along either side of the street. I don't live close to any Royal Farms or Wawa or any other type of restaurant so you won't have time to slip out during the intermission after qualifying. To combat that I will be preparing quite a bit of food and will probably also have a few pizzas delivered like last time. Current food lineup will consist of: baked ham, deep fried turkey, my famous pepper relish dips, chili, potato salad, macaroni salad, queso dip, and a few other items along with Marianne's famous desserts. Come hungry folks and BYOB!

Lastly, I want to say thanks to the following people who have stepped up and agreed to haul a pinball machine to my house to make sure we have a nice selection of games to play:

    Brian LeBlanc - Meteor
    Mike Veith - Indy 500
    Joe Fox - Iron Man
    Ernie Most - Walking Dead
    Pete Tsipouras - White Water
    Mike Myers - Super-Flite

Unless something changes, here is the current game list for March Madness:

    Meteor
    Indy 500
    Iron Man
    Walking Dead
    White Water
    Super-Flite
    Count-Down
    WWF Royal Rumble
    Conquest 200
    Terminator 2
    Dirty Harold
    Aerosmith Premium
    Space Shuttle
    No Fear
    Grand Lizard

All games in my personal collection will have brand new Ninja balls installed as well as a fresh coat of wax to ensure great game play!

If you have any questions post up or email/text/call me.

Thanks for the feedback Joe, greatly appreciated! Out of all the hobbies I’m currently in and have been involved in, this hobby has the best people. Everyone is always helpful and nice and yesterday further solidified that statement. People were helping with overflowing trash, moving and tearing games down. Just pure awesomeness. It’s good to be part of this community. I hope everyone is watching because Delaware pinball is slowly becoming THE place to go for the best tournament experience!

    Ryan,

Thanks for the feedback! Please bear with me as I’m still learning the ropes for running tournaments. This is only my third attempt, and I strongly believe there is room for improvement. Don’t hesitate to share other tournament experiences you may have had with me. Looking forward to playing with you again in the near future. Thanks for supporting Delaware pinball.

The tournament was a blast! All of the games played great, there was a fantastic variety of games to play, and everything ran super smoothly - we even got extra rounds in! Thank you to djreddog and Marianne for all of their hard work in hosting and allowing their home to be invaded by a bunch of us pinball people. Thanks to everyone who helped out by bringing games for us to play. The food and desserts were excellent! The Delaware tournaments have been top-notch, and I can't wait for April.
