So I just did my very first playfield touchup! It's not perfect, but good enough for me and alot better than it was. So after I put the paint down I added a little "gloss varnish". Is there anything else I need to do or should I just through wax over the top when it is good and dry? Thanks!

If you use Mylar, be sure to put down a good layer of wax. This way if you ever need to remove the Mylar, it will lesson the chance of removing the paint underneath of the Mylar.

Good thinking for sure
