I'd never buy a pin before getting plays in because you might think you like it based on what you read and how it looks online, but when you get a chance to play it you realize it's not for you. I'd say if you like FT than save your money and buy that, especially since you say it is restored. In that case it depends on what restored means. To me that means it should be as solid or better than a NIB pin.
