Hello all, first post here after playing TPA and heading to the local arcade to play #star_trek every now and then.

Been looking for an affordable (up to $1000ish) pin, either an EM or early SS, as I'm not very mechanically inclined and would prefer to only have to perform basic fixes. Read multiple guides on what to avoid on CL etc, and found a local listing for a 1980 Gottlieb Buck Rogers, asking $1250.

So, is this a good pick for a first machine, and does it look to be in good condition? Don't know much about the ruleset but it seems to have a variety of good shots. I've never inspected any machines besides new Stern's so wouldn't know what to look for. Hoping I could work the price down a little bit too! Thanks for any replies/advice. - Kevin

Thanks for the feedback, seems like I should keep hunting. For now and probably a good while I'll only have room for one game, so Im thinking finding something cheaper and hooefully with a deeper ruleset would be ideal. Taxman Probably would be hanging on to the one game as opposed to flipping it.

Any suggestions on meeting other collectors locally?
