I went to an arcade expo to play vids and decided to give pinball a try. I never played it much as a kid in the early-mid 90s because it seemed complicated and was relatively expensive.

I destroyed the saucer a few times on my first game and the physicality of the ship rumbling combined with the light show made it feel like I was accomplishing something huge. The rules were easy to understand (although I'm still trying to rule the universe) and I enjoyed the theme a lot.

That game sucked me into the pin area and I spent the whole weekend neglecting vids.
