New to Pinside, the name is Steve and I'm located in the southern suburbs of Dayton, Ohio. I've been lurking around the various pin communities for a year or so and am looking to purchase my first pin. Just looking for a little guidance on what I should be looking for (I'm apologize if you get this question a lot).

I'd probably be most interested in late SS and DMD machines and I have a budget of $1500-2000. I'm looking for games with high replay value, as this will likely be my only pin for a while.

Also, if there's anyone in my area that has pin get togethers or wants to let a random guy come and play a couple of their pins and chat about the subject that would be cool too. I'll bring the beer.
