The machine speaker panel is labelled as "Bally". MMR could not have the speaker panel "Williams" logo, I wonder why the difference?

The speaker panel isn't labeled "Bally" it has a window that shows "Bally" on the LCD. Bally seems to be missing from the trans light also. My guess is this is some way to make it look like the original while getting around some licensing restriction.

LOL.. there is actually a tiny window to display a Bally logo?!
Quoted from colonel_caverne:Playfield colors look faded.
It may be my phone but the playfield does look really nice. The lighting underneath though seemed really dim.

I would love to see under the playfield to see if there is a giant piece of plastic buffering the glare. Is there a brightness setting? It might be dim to keep any glare or insert ink issues from getting brought up from day 1.
Green armor is awful.
Color animations look good.
Displaying the Bally logo on the LCD is strange. Why don't the have the rights to put it on the machine but they do have the rights to put it in software. I would think IP is IP.

well...

does that happen to show room pinballs?
I've never been to an expo or festival, so I wouldn't know.
seems kind of weird that they would have one out there that isn't in pristine condition.
I think everyone would be inspecting every bit of the machine, and if it's already chipping...

Argh! Looks like we are all going to have to learn to live with chips. Frustrating.

Only if you purchase a game that chips.
Quoted from o-din:Only if you purchase a game that chips.
We have old and new games. Problem in Aus is good second hand games are selling for more than new. Cliffy is going to be busy!

I think that problem is worldwide

Just need to put your big boy pants on.
Quoted from cooked71:Just need to put your big boy pants on.
And always use protection!
Quoted from dgoett:who makes them? mirco? fun? Chipping on a brand new game already..... ugh.
If it's the same as mmr, micro is not the maker of the playfields. If memory serves.
Quoted from o-din:Only if you purchase a game that chips.
Revealed here and now by O-Din... CHiPs pinball, summer 2019
Interesting that they didn't start with just a straight remake and instead updated some items to make it a bit more modern. (Larger display). I wonder what else they changed.
I don't know if I'd worry about the chipping yet, I'd suspect the prep times were likely cut short to get these early examples built. Unless chipping a problem with MMR.....
Quoted from Niterider:Unless chipping a problem with MMR.....
Depends on what you consider a problem.
Quoted from cooked71:Just need to put your big boy pants on.
lol I wonder when we'll get to hear that classic phrase used on us this time around.
Quoted from o-din:Depends on what you consider a problem.
I don't have a MMR...but I'd consider that a problem.

PPS/CGC will consider that normal, I'm sure.

A little sand paper and super glue, and good to go!

No chance of PPS/CGC adopting the old Ford slogan of Quality is Job 1.
Quoted from Mike_J:No chance of PPS/CGC adopting the old Ford slogan of Quality is Job 1.
Considering I blew the engine in my one day old F150 back in 2014...I think even Ford would have a problem with that slogan these days.
Quoted from cooked71:Just need to put your big boy pants on.
I wear my big pants all the time, especially when I have to deal with people that have little man syndrome. lol.
Quoted from ekthoren:Any word on price?
Pricing will be released on the 24th, per Doug.
Quoted from colonel_caverne:why a reproduction of an (over) 3000 original production?
i think it would have been more interested to make the reproduction of BBB or CC and then why not finishing their code in the same time...
Bc its a popular pin in demand .
Quoted from bigd1979:Bc its a popular pin in demand .
there is already more then 3000 ex
Finally, i'm against reproduction even if it gets sense to do it for BBB and CC.
why? because original MM has never been as much expensive since the PPS reproduction.

Sorry your investment didn't work out, but the rest of us want these classic games for cheaper and these remakes offer us that option. I think remakes are a fantastic thing for pinball and I hope they continue.

Sorry your greedy, hate to see what happens to your monster bash value when the remake comes out, better sell now

Obviously there are cheaper...when you compare the playfield quality with original one.

I have nothing against a remake.
I just wish it was another company making them.
I think something is just getting lost in the translation since he is from France. I think what he is trying to say is he feels the original is better quality than the remake. I dont think he was trying to sound greedy.
CGC made the original AFM playfields, and are making these, so they are the same as the originals but with a different formula clear-coat.
The SOL hole has always been a problem with a lot of the games, nothing has changed in my opinion.
Put a cliffy on it and you're good to go, or maybe get CGC to put them on at the factory?

It is too late for me to go back to school!
I did not unsderstand this but if you tell it I trust you.
