I have a Firepower that will intermittently have the wrong sounds, or even no sounds. It may be two different issues? When there is no sound, the test switch does not even produce sound. When there are wrong sounds, the test switch produces sounds just fine. When the sounds are wrong, I can usually fix it be reseating the connector from the sound board to the driver board. When there is no sound I'm not quite as sure what step gets it working, but I reseat all the connectors on the sound board.

When I do get it 100% working it will be fine for maybe 10 games, then it will have the wrong sounds for a while, then eventually no sounds. Then I start the processes all over.

Any suggestions on what to check on? Could it be bad solders on the connector sockets?

I reseated "sound rom 3" and it has been working solid for 2 days now. So, hopefully that was the issue. I had reseated it before and was still having the issue... so who knows. Pins on the rom all look to be in good shape.
