I'm doing a similar restore. To remove the mylar around the slings and pops use a heat gun on low setting.

I bought the "approved" decals for my FP restore... but wish I didn't. The decals look like garbage and I will not be using them. I plan on making my own and use clear waterslide laser printer paper.
