Hi.
The top right pop bumper has locked on and I've replace the transistors but still no joy. Can anyone point me to whichever chip controls this?
Thanks in advance.

Q6, connects through 2j12-3. Check continuity from there to coil first. May be a wiring issue.
Further upstream is Q5 predriver transistor and IC8 - a 7402 - and IC6 - a 7408.
Thanks for your help. I've replaced the diode & Q6 & Q5 and will try and locate a IC8 chip at the local electronics shop tomorrow...hope that works! I have had the boards rebuilt recently and had the machine given the once over by a techy but I keep losing all sound and speech and this problem with the pop bumper keeps rearing it's ugly head.
Remove J13 from the driver board and see if the coil still locks on. If it does, you have a board problem. If it does not, you have a switch and or wiring problem.

Thanks. It ended up being the 7402 chip at IC8. The soundboard had a stuffed 6802 chip. All good for now; fingers crossed.

That chip was the culprit for locking the Jet bumper? How did you discover that? I'm having the same issue. it keeps popping my fuse. Thanks!
