I like the "minor" paint loss us of the word..... Oh Boy. You need to start looking for another playfield.
And to think that this is all the result of an operator trying to save the cost of one steel ball.....$1 of savings. Penny wise, dollar foolish.

I'm sure the operator, like most of them, was laughing all the way to the bank and didn't care. I would imagine the kids back then didn't either.
