Hi Folks,

I have a Firepower with a Rdog power and MPU board.
Using l.e.d.s with the large warming resistor cut I have the following problems:
1) One blue hotdog light constantly on and does not flash when it should. Led flashers work correctly. This socket was replaced with a two prong instead of three prong with the tie. I just soldered the diode "in-line" and omitted the tie point as I didn't have one.
2) Some l.e.d.s are flickering slightly. Primarily the "R" and "E" but the "Shield" somewhat. The flickering was present
before the socket replacement.

Bad diode somewhere? I swear I checked them all three times!

OK. I guess it's time to go outside for awhile. When I replaced the socket I soldered
the diode in backwards. DUH. That's why it was always on. Replaced the diode. Soldered it in backwards again!
AAaaaarrghhhhhhh!

I knew it had to be a diode in the square/rectangle lamp matrix. (Thanks to vid1900)
I never checked the one I had just put in!

Problem solved. I would drain this topic to save face but someone else may benefit from my stupidity.

SYS6,

The led flashers by cointaker are sweet. They are color matched which really makes it pop.

The warming resistor must be removed or they will be on steady.
Now if I could figure out the scoring issue!
