The ball sits in the edge of the hole rather than on the leaf switch post. It seems to be due to the playfield angle of the eject hole and some wood wear. (Switch and solenoid tests check out.) I have tried adding hot glue to the side of the hole to channel it back onto the post without luck. What is my next step??

I would check to make sure the insert is not chipped or broken. It should funnel the ball to the center.

Agreed. Usually one or both of the fins are broken off.
