My Firepower has had relatively lame and weak flippers for years, so while I was all ready to order up a range of rebuild parts
but first I decided to read up a bit more on flipper maintenance and adjustment here on this forum.
So, I cleaned up all the contacts, including at the power supply and cabinet buttons, and most importantly cleaned and set the end-of-stroke
switches properly, which I had never done before. Wow, what a difference. No need to buy new parts, the ball gets airborne now!
Anyway, I will eventually replace the worn parts at some point, but just to offer thanks to those who wrote up the flipper tech notes
they really make a difference in enjoying the game and only takes a few minutes to do, for those who are tempted to buy rebuild kits
it might be a quick fix to restore your flipper power.
