Hitting the power switch plays the voice "firepower" and an endless sound loop.
Light go on in the playfield and backbox but no digits in the displays.

On a normal start there should not be any sound. Just lights on and silent.
Now its like the start button is pressed directly on startup and endless sound loop.
I will check the start button at home, but dont think its the issue.

The throughkicker that shoots the ball to the launch channel does not have enough force to shoot the ball all the way.

Power problem?

Last week same issue but then it suddenly started correctly after i lifted the playfield.

Quoted from Schwaggs:

When you say the lights come on, is it the GI AND lights in the inserts?
Is the trough kicker firing repeatedly or only once when you turn the game on?
I would look for a wire or something that is shorting along the sides, under the playfield.
Look at the area around the flipper buttons for stray wires that may be shorting to the flipper button leaf switches.
Try removing the solenoid fuse and seeing if the game starts normally.
Re-seat the connectors on the power supply board.
Re-seat the connectors between the head and lower cabinet.

Thanks for the reply.
Its the GI and all inserts and backbox GI that goes on. Not the score display.
The kicker is firing once only. But with weak force. Not enough to kick the ball to the lane.

Plays Firepower voice and a looping da da da sound like when you press the start button.
Game does not respond to any button presses.

Happened last week as well. But after some fiddling around, changing batteries it worked perfectly.
But now its back again.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I will try all this in the weekend or tonight.

Got it working again. I removed and sprayed som alchohol in all connectors of the driver board and it sprung to Life.
Guess its as simple as a bad Connection there somewhere.

Yeah it will most probably be back. Then I will remove one by one connector and identify which one it is.

Jsut happy that it is a connector/soldering issue and not something else more complicated.

And happy I found it. Fault tracing can really take time
