I have the '72 fireball above that is painted and has the rotary scoring dials. I know there are TONS of threads about restoring the surface, but this is my first restore, and i'm new to all the lingo also.
What are some good steps to restoring or even just cleaning and protecting my Fireball playing surface?
I don't have any planking or really much wear/tear at all as it is. Just want to make sure I do anything I can to clean/protect the surface before I replace bands, etc. (Also, any recs for the oxidation on the metal?)

Thanks in advance!!
